What does this group do:
Members of this group collects the Mass linens: corporals, purificators and lavabo towels each week and takes them home to launder them, returning them the following week.
What do I need in order to be a part of this group:
Members participating in this ministry will need laundry bag to collect the linens, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, laundry detergent, an iron, and linen starch spray.

What does this group do:
An Altar Server assists the priest in the celebration of the liturgy through various duties such as, carrying the cross, lighting candles, holding books, ringing bells, and participating in the liturgy.
What do I need to do in order to be a part of this group:
An Altar Server must be at least 7 years old and have received First Communion.
Training for Altar Servers is necessary and is available as needed.

What does this group do:
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion prayerfully serve the people of our church by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Eucharistic celebrations.
What do I need to do in order to be a part of this group:
Those called to this ministry will be a fully initiated Catholic, having celebrated the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. Training is necessary and is available as needed.

What does this group do:
When requested, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Eucharist visits homebound parishioners and residents of local nursing homes or hospitals to bring them Holy Communion,
What do I need to do in order to be a part of this group:
A Homebound Minister must first be trained as a Eucharistic Minister. Once trained they will accompany a current Homebound Minister until they feel comfortable on their own. Training is necessary and is available as needed.

What does this group do:
A Hospitality Minister is responsible for greeting and welcoming parishioners and visitors before and after Masses.
A Hospitality Minister also helps with the distribution of bulletins, seating people at Masses, collecting the offertory, and coordinating any emergency situation during the liturgy.
What do I need to do in order to be a part of this group:
Training is available as needed.

What does this group do:
It is the mission of a lector to be the channel through which God’s Word is made present to the faithful. Just as the Lord is present sacramentally in the midst of the congregation during the celebration of the Liturgy of the Eucharist, so too is God present in the reading of the Scriptures in the Liturgy of the Word.

What does this group do:
The Music Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi parish consist of English and Spanish speaking parishioners who provide a variety of genres of music for regular worship. There are cantors, choir and ensemble members and instrumentalists.

Adoration Guardians sign up every week to spend time in adoration on Thursdays from 9:30am-7pm.

We take turns starting the rosary and some of us will lead one decade of the rosary.
We start at 8:20 AM and finish by 8:45 AM. We also recite the Litany of The Blessed Virgin Mary at the end of the rosary.

St. Francis of Assisi Council of Catholic Women (SFCCW) is a member of the Atlanta Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women (AACCW) and the National Council of Catholic Women.
The purpose of the SFCCW is to support the mission of the parish by uniting the women of the parish through religious, social, service, educational and charitable endeavors. All women of the parish are members of SFCCW and are welcome to monthly meetings and other events sponsored by and for the women of the parish.
SFCCW meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm. All women of the parish are invited!
The Knights are a group of Catholic men dedicated to the ideals of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.
Membership is open to Catholic men 18 years and older.
The Knights of Columbus provide members and their families with volunteer opportunities to serve the Catholic Church, their communities, families, and young people. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See (who follow the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church) that are at least 18-years old.

The loss of a loved one is difficult. The Grief Support Ministry hopes to make things easier by doing these things first and foremost, we offer a caring heart and a listening ear.
Have you lost someone close to you? Do you feel everyday is almost unbearable, have you no one to talk with or to share your experience with, we would like to be there for you. We have all been through it at some point in our life and are eager to listen and share.

Loving Hands began in 2008. We are knitters and crochetiers who are committed to helping out the community by using the talents that God has given us.
We have made and donated Afghans, lap robes, scarves, hats, mittens, etc. to a number of needy organizations as well as to our soldiers in the war zones.
If you are interested, we are willing to teach.
Martha’s Table is part of St. Francis Bereavement Committee. Our goal is to welcome the family and friends of the deceased into LaSalette Hall for a wonderfully prepared meal, fellowship, and comfort.
We have chosen Martha’ Table as our title to acknowledge St. Martha’s act of kindness, honor, and welcoming of our Savior into her home.
St. Francis is blessed to have many good cooks, and eager volunteers. We could not be Martha’s Table without each of them.

St Francis of Assisi’s Military Support Ministry provides a Christ-centered, welcoming community for military personnel, veterans and their families and identify and respond to their needs.
The Welcome & Connect Ministry helps to greet new visitors and parishioners and answer any questions or concerns they may have. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcomed and connected to our Parish..
Members of the Welcome and Connect Ministry have a presence at our desk in the Narthex after each Mass. We provide those who stop by with welcome and registration packets, information about events held at the church, and answers to any questions they may have. We focus on sharing the love of Christ by building long-term relationships with New and Present Parishioners.

Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to person services to those who are needy. Through the generous support of St. Francis parishioners, our SVdP conference is able to assist families with rent, utilities and food.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society engages in works of mercy helping those in distress with food, clothing and shelter. Trained members quietly and confidentially assist their clients who have called in on the SVDP telephone line. Home visits assess individual situations. The organization oversees allocation of financial resources provided through monthly parish collections and other donations.

St. Francis Feeds the Need delivers two meals a week to parishioners who are homebound, infirm, or in need of meal assistance. Volunteers for this ministry help cook and deliver meals.
Two nutritious meals are prepared every Tuesday mornings beginning at 8:00am with deliveries to follow.

The Good Neighbors Chefs take turns cooking meals for the local homeless shelter. More info to come soon!
Coffee & Donuts Ministry takes place once a month after all the Sunday Masses. We serve coffee and donuts to all parishioners.
Members of this ministry are responsible for ordering, picking-up the donuts, and setting up the parish hall for the distribution of coffee and donuts after each Sunday Mass.

We are a group of Catholic mothers dedicated to the education and enrichment of our children.
We meet one morning a week for class, beginning with mass and ending with lunch. We also meet the first Friday of every month for field trips and celebrations.
All mothers have an important role in our co-op and assist in teaching in some way. The children are divided by age groups, and enjoy several supplemental classes.

"Ministry of the Arts" has been meeting every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to noon. We call it playing with crayons because it's just for fun. We invite any "senior" to join us. We bring our own materials but will provide watercolors and paper for anyone who would like to try it out. No artistic talent is necessary.
It's all about fellowship and a little art!
